With the help of mom, husband (& friend who watched our kidlet) we harvested my beehive today!

Lady Beard Bees made a very light & crisp honey this year.  It's so delicious, rather than selling it, I'm storing it for the apocalypse. So meet me at world's end, I'll be the girl with the sticky fingers.

This weekend was Lady Beard Bee's first harvest EVER.  My amazing mother went along for the ride, showing me the proper way to sterilize everything and letting me turn her kitchen into a big sticky mess.

After hours of hard work, I ended the day feeling farmer-tired and really proud that I didn't screw it up.
