New Fine Art: Sneak Peek

I'm spending some time each week creating a body of work for next year's large fine art exhibit.  Here's a sneak peek of my latest. This piece will be available August 2014 at Gallery 1212 Old Town.

Iphone covers, notebooks, tote bags, oh MY!

My merchandise store has been updated with tons of new K8 Art designs and products!   From Ipad cases to laptop skins; Iphone covers to notebooks.  If you have to protect your Kindle or your Nook, why not do it in the artiest way possible?!

Then you can toss all your newly decorated electronics into a cute, earth-friendly K8 Art tote bag...

Tea Party

High school student Sydney Gardella made this incredible tea pot with her own bare hands for a school project.

The assignment was to create a design inspired by another artist.  It sort of made my year to find out that the elephant & owl were inspired by my art on the k8 art & illustr8 web site.

I am so impressed with what a beautiful job Sydney did on her project, and I hope that she continues to explore art making!  And while she's at it, she should probably just go to art school, graduate and work as a professional artist...

Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up

I have been keeping it under wraps until the boring contracty details were complete. Now that all the I's have been dotted, I am very excited to share that these two of my little fun pieces will be set decor in the upcoming film 'Arthur Newman, Golf Pro' starring Colin Firth & Emily Blunt!

Look for them on the big screen in the bedroom of Colin Firth's fictional son! (Prints are available in my online print store so you can dress your fictional and or nonfictional son's bedroom too.)

I'm praying for a slow close up, but preparing for edit-room floor. However, just the thought of Foxy Firth acting near my art is thrill enough for me...
