Funky Mama: Art for Another A-lister

I've had a few CEOs, businesses and all around interesting people purchase my wares... But lately, it's been celeb musicians getting in on the art.

First there was solo singer/songwriter and also The Verve Pipe front-man Brian Vander Ark and his singing/songwriting wife Lux Land.

Now Kansas City's own "Funky Mama" aka Krista Eyler has joined my client list.

Her music is beyond catchy and fun! My husband and I don't even have kids, but sang her hit single 'Grandma's House' for at least a week straight...possibly longer... and now I'm getting the urge to sing it some more.

Art from the Heart

Fine art paintings are my ultimate source of personal expression and exploration. Because of this fact, I rarely take on commissioned paintings - it's too much pressure! However, once in a blue moon a great opportunity grabs hold of me...

I had the honor of creating a very special gift for singer/songwriter & Verve Pipe front-man Brian VanderArk from his lovely (also singing/songwritting) wife Lux Land & their adorable daughter Evie.

Brian had written a song for Evie a while ago, and that became the central focus of inspiration for me. With the help of some photos from Lux and Brian's lyrics for his daughter, I was able to paint a piece I am really proud of. I hope you like it too!

Anna's Art: the littlest collector

Anna Taylor (seen here being held by mom, Bethany Taylor) is the youngest collector of Kate Cosgrove original art. At barely a minute old, she had already decorated her walls with a school of fish. Anna is the perfect example of being born with great taste!
